Tiles That Pop: Studio A–N x TileCloud at & Sando by Matt Moran
When designing & Sando, Matt Moran’s bold sandwich concept in Canberra, Studio A–N set out to create a space that was fast, playful, and packed with personality – just like the menu. One of the key design features that helped bring this vision to life? The tiles.
In partnership with TileCloud, we curated a tile palette that would not only stand up to the pace of daily service but also reflect & Sando’s vibrant brand identity. The result is an interior that’s fun, functional, and undeniably eye-catching.
Practical Design with Punch
In a fast-casual setting like & Sando, materials need to work hard and look great. We turned to TileCloud for their reliable, stylish, and locally accessible range of tiles – ideal for a venue that balances high foot traffic with high impact.
From the moment you walk in, the tilework delivers visual punch. With bold patterns, textured finishes, and playful colour accents, the space feels fresh and fast-moving – exactly what a sandwich shop should be.
A Focal Point Worth the Hype
The counter is the centrepiece of & Sando’s design – and the moment where tile truly takes the spotlight. Using statement tiles from TileCloud, we created a graphic, rhythmic surface that draws attention and sets the tone for the space.
Paired with stainless steel, bold branding, and compact spatial planning, the tiling plays a key role in defining & Sando’s customer experience – quick, quality-focused, and full of flavour.
